Business leaders from a variety of industries came together for a celebratory evening hosted by The Stoddart Review
Seven months on from the publication of The Workplace Advantage report, the event at Central Saint Martin’s was a chance to hear more about the difference The Stoddart Review is beginning make around linking productivity to the workplace. It was a chance to rouse debate, broaden awareness and generate future engagement on the subject matter.
Primarily, it was an opportunity to celebrate the rare collaboration between suppliers, business leaders, experts and academia, as well as the support from wider contributors and supporting organisations who have helped make The Workplace Advantage report possible.
Most notably, the event was a chance to continue and build upon the conversation TSR began; how workplace can be used to strategically leverage productivity. The panel debate brought this to the forefront, stimulating thought as to the next iteration of the review. Unanimously it seems the review is being utilised as it should; to start a conversation with senior business leaders, specifically on the board, as to how workplace strategy is a contingent factor in increasing employee performance. Debate rages on around how to engage the audience further, and the event generated though-provoking questions to that effect.
The Stoddart Review’s programme director Polly Plunket-Checkemian said: “We were delighted to welcome so many influential business leaders from across industry to hear how our robust research has generated worldwide interest since the publication of The Workplace Advantage report in December 2016.
“Those of us who work within facilities management have a crucial role to play in driving the agenda around workplace as a key performance lever, and we urge FM professionals to use the report findings as a conversation starter to begin to effect change within their own organisations.”
To coincide with last Thursday’s event, The Stoddart Review has released a series of ‘In Conversation With…’ videos featuring key contributors to The Workplace Advantage report. You can view below.
